Day Fishing at Bolton Abbey

A fishery providing an opportunity to fish for wild and stocked brown trout and grayling throughout its water.

The Estate’s fishery totals some 5 miles of double bank fishing on the upper stretches of the River Wharfe. Fishing for brown trout and grayling can be enjoyed by anglers of all ages and experiences.

Day tickets allow you access to fish the waters between Barden Bridge and Kex Beck. Our stretch of the River Wharfe offers varied, exciting and challenging fishing.

Please note

  •  Day tickets are only available to purchase from 1st June – 14th March and there will only be 6 tickets available per day to ensure the river does not become overcrowded.
  • Tickets are non-returnable, non-refundable and non-transferable. Refunds will not be offered other than if the Estate deems the River to be unfishable on the date of your visit. In these circumstances alone, the Estate will allow for day ticket bookings to be rescheduled within 30 days of the original booking.
  • For management purposes, a catch return must be completed. Please email the estateoffice@boltonabbey.com detailing;
